Last month we started designing Nolan's big boy room. We bought his side rails and installed his new bed. He does great sleeping in his big boy bed. He has recently stopped waking us up every night. He just leans over and grabs his water from his nightstand and rolls back over to go to sleep. It is wonderful finally seeing glimpses of sleeping through the night!
Nolan has started talking a lot more.... thank goodness. He now says 15 known words; mama, dada, poo (dog), meme(more), wawa(water), aby (up or help not sure), cheese, please, juice, puf (Cheetos), yes, no, outside, baubo (bubbles), eee(pee). He also is answering question with a yes or a no.
Last month was also our first diaper removal. I put Nolan down for a nap with no pants on. He woke up about an hour later (usually napes for 2-3) super pissed and crabby. I let him cry assuming he'd put himself back down. Soon it was quiet in his room, then I saw him...with a scowl on his face. Then I noticed him not wearing a diaper followed by the recognition that the white thing in his hand was his diaper! Ahh. We went back into his room to find urine all over! No wonder he was pissed, he was covered in urine from head to toe. Poor kid! About a week after this we had our first pee in the potty! We are just experimenting and letting Nolan play with his potty. He is now doing a lot of squatting and eeee around the house. We are so happy he is excited to learn. He also tells us literally .5 seconds before he takes a poo. He plugs his nose and then poos a few seconds later. We are hoping he will be ready to start daytime potty training when hes 2.
Nolan is wearing 18-24 month shirts and 12-18M pants. He weighs 22 pounds and is 32.8 inches long.
