My first boat ride

Nolan is finally feeling better this week. He still has a little cold but nothing more than a runny nose. Instead now Dad is feeling super ill. Nolan is really starting to move a lot more and explore getting up on all fours and scary thought his hands and feet! Nolan is now running around the house saying momma, blowing bubbles and making raspberry sounds. He will sometimes clap and play peek a boo.

We went on our first boat ride of the year with Nolan. He was pretty crabby the entire time, he was awoken from his nap and then placed in his torture chamber aka life jacket. So we didn't get many smiles but he was content with the wind blowing in his face. We then went to pizza and Jack and Cassie's house and Nolan had a great time playing with Lydia.
We have seen Nolan do this a few times. Not sure if he is going to start the crab walk or what he thinks he's doing here.
Nolan on all fours! He will not crawl this way, but when he is stationary he is up on all fours.
Our attempt at his 9 month photos.....He is so difficult these days to take photos

Mother's Day Weekend - Nolan turns 9 month

Our precious babe turned 9 months this weekend! The time is sure flying by. Our poor baby boy has had the worst cold of his lifetime. He has been running a fever, had a cough and throwing up for about a week. We thought this was teething...but no teeth to be found :-(

It is like a light-bulb has turned on for Nolan this past week.  Nolan has learned how to get from the laying/crawling to sitting up. I can't believe he can sit by himself. Nolan has also learned to play peek-a-boo. He will put a towel over his head and then pull it off with vigor. It is so cute! Nolan has also learned to clap.

On a walk on Mother's Day to Oxbow Zoo in Byron. What a beautiful day to be at the zoo

Daddy dressed Nolan for Mother's Day in a I love MOM shirt.

Mimi Visit

This last two weeks have been crazy around the household. We have been getting everything finalized with the house and trying to keep up with our little boy! He is so full of energy these days! This past weekend Nolan was lucky enough to see both his Nana and his Mimi. We had off work on Friday so we ran around Rochester finalizing housing plans and then headed up to the cities for Erin's birthday celebration. This was our first real night out and Nana was more than happy to watch him for the night. Matt and I had a great time!

We then came home Saturday morning and Mimi came to visit. It was so wonderful to catch up and Nolan was very excited to get to spend some time with his Mimi. Nolan was quite the flirt and even showed Mimi how well he can crawl! Mimi got to see first hand how fast Nolan is with his Salamander/crab crawl! He is so very quick, he really has no need to crawl on all fours. We also had Mimi Casserole....which was wonderful! Another year and Nolan will be able to enjoy this delicious dish, thanks so much for cooking this for us! We also went to the Amish store and dreamed about owning many of the furniture pieces. We then finished up the weekend with a great burger at Five Guys. Thank you for taking the long drive to Rochester to spend the weekend with us! Nolan is so lucky to be loved by so many people!

Happy 8 months

Our lil monster is 8 months old! Where has the time gone? He is now wearing 6-12month clothes and weighs 18 pounds. He is also quite the mover....he crawls to his bedroom and back to check and see what mommy and daddy are doing. Our lil man sure doesn't miss much.

He is loving his daycare mom Judy. She takes such great care of him and he has a best friend who is 14 months old named Evan. Evan and Nolan chase each other around all day at daycare. Nolan's biggest frustration is he cannot crawl fast enough to keep up with Evan. He is still learning to crawl on all fours.

Nolan is our little high needs independent man. He has been refusing to eat much milk the last few weeks. We took out a sippy cup and our poor eating guy is now pounding down his food! He looks like daddy in college....Chug milk, finish milk in one long gulp, then proceed to either bang up or throw cup to ground, all while having glassy eyes because he wasn't breathing.

Happy Easter!!! Nolan's first candy and its a delicious peep!
Loving his sugary peep. Look at those beautiful eyes I feel in love with at first sight!
